Feel the vibes of Jamaica

Feel the vibes of Jamaica
Travel

On behalf of Jamaica Tourism Board, Related was appointed to assist in the organization of a press trip to Jamaica. The goal of the trip was to get Swedish media to explore and connect to the vibe of Jamaica – and to share their experiences and stories with their readers.

The itinerary was tailor-made to fit the Swedish traveler and interests, with a mix of beach, cultural and wildlife experiences. Activities included river rafting on the beautiful Martha Brae River and a visit to the town of Ocho Rios, a former fishing village, close to the rainforest, rivers and Dunn’s River Falls. A terraced, 180 m high mountain waterfall with lagoon pools, surrounded by trees. Some of the scenes for Dr. No (1962), the first James Bond movie, were filmed here. The group also paid a visit to Chukka Sandy Bay to experience horseback riding and swimming. A two-hour ride with trained guides through the scenic countryside and along the shore to a beautiful, white-sand beach where you ride bareback into the sea with the horses. Other adventures included Chukka Adventure’s Zipline, gaining a new perspective on Jamaica from the heights of its rainforest!

Related secured the participation of several top media from Sweden, including leading national newspapers, such as Aftonbladet, the travel magazine Vagabond, the women’s magazine Damernas Värld as well as travel bloggers; so far resulting in five extensive articles and a total reach of 3 million Swedes.
