Related assisted VISITFLANDERS with the coordination of a royal B2B event in Copenhagen – in connection with the Belgian state visit in Denmark. To increase awareness of Belgium and Flanders among the Danish press and travel trade – with the aim of increasing the number of Danish visitors to Flanders (and Belgium in general) – VISITFLANDERS, together with two other Belgian tourism boards, hosted a joint event called “A Taste of Belgium”.
The event in Cinemateket was officially opened by Their Majesties King Philip and Queen Mathilde of Belgium, escorted by the Danish Crown Prince Couple.
After the opening, the more than 50 participants joined a B2B workshop where they could meet a range of Belgian partners. Furthermore, the event included beer tasting with Danish beer specialist Carsten Berthelsen, handmade Belgian chocolate, and experimental gastronomy by the Belgian Yannick Van Aeken.
As Scandinavian representative for VISITFLANDERS, Related took care of the whole invitation process, from inviting media and tour operators, collecting personal information from all participants to meet the security requirements as well as sending out the official, printed invitation. At the event, staff from Related was also present to welcome guests and answer any questions from travel trade or press on behalf of VISITFLANDERS.
The event was a great success, giving the Danish participants a taste of the many culinary experiences awaiting in Flanders.
