There’s something special about people who bring a spark of curiosity and positivity into the room right away – and Charlotte Ringsing Pontoppidan is definitely one of them. She recently joined Related as our new Junior Travel Trade & Marketing Executive. With a Master’s degree in Tourism and Leisure Management and experience from both the hospitality and marketing industries, she steps into the role with focus, enthusiasm, and a deep passion for people, places, and storytelling. 

We asked Charlotte five quick questions to get a glimpse of the person behind the title:  

A must-have in the suitcase? 
My camera – to capture those little moments that often slip away. I love going back to my photo archives and reliving the memories. 

A dream project? 
Traveling the world with my family. Pressing pause on everyday life and exploring different cultures, learning from the contrasts and appreciating the similarities we share as people. 

How do you spend your free time? 
Out in nature with my family and our dog Jytte, discovering small everyday adventures near our home in Silkeborg. Lately, I’ve also been busy tending to my very first vegetable garden – a surprisingly exciting project! 

What inspires you most in your work? 
The magic that happens when people and cultures meet. There’s so much potential in those exchanges. 

What are you most looking forward to at Related? 
Becoming part of a passionate team, connecting with inspiring clients, and contributing to a community that truly believes in the power and potential of tourism. 

Looking back, that first big trip around the world in 2011–2012 might have been the turning point. It sparked a deep love for exploring different ways of life and created a drive to share those stories with others. That journey – and the connections made along the way – planted the seed that eventually led to where things are today.
