On behalf of Croatia National Tourist Board (CNTB), we initiated a wine tasting event for Swedish media and influencers end of August 2021. The event was the very first in the industry post-corona and restrictions were still in place to some extent. Therefore, the focus was to create a small scale but qualitative event.
A total of 10 key target media and 10 influencers, specialized in food, travel and lifestyle attended the evening event – a 3-hour cruise. In order to also highlight the great sailing and island-hopping possibilities in Croatia – the event took place on a boat in the Stockholm archipelago.
With aim to inspire media and bloggers to write about Croatia, its gastronomy and wineries, two Croatian wine producers were invited to lead a wine tasting and give the participants a sense of travelling to Croatia virtually: a representative from Croatia’s oldest wine producer and a representative from the first Swedish-owned vineyard in Croatia.25
Croatia National Tourist Board also presented the latest news as well as the current situation in Croatia, including the destination’s safety measures and safety protocols.
The three-hour cruise resulted in a total of 3 blog posts, 5 Instagram posts, 32 IG stories from the event. With a total reach of 200,000.
