On behalf of Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), Related partnered with AF/KLM/Delta and invited multiple agents from the Scandinavian countries on fam trips to Las Vegas.
20 agents from different travel agencies and tour operators across Scandinavia where invited to learn more about Las Vegas firsthand. The trip was hosted by Related’s trade executive for LVCVA and two AF/KLM/Delta sales managers for the respective markets Norway and Denmark. The airline covered the flight tickets, while LVCVA covered everything at the destination. The invitation process was handled in cooperation with the airline, and both partners agreed on beforehand whom to invite. The result was above expectations and only agents from tier 1 tour operators joined the trip.
The year after, Related again partnered with AF/KLM/Delta and invited Scandinavian agents to take part in the annual marathon that takes place in Las Vegas in November. Again, the airline covered the flights and LVCVA covered the program at destination including the participation in the marathon run for the attendees. Related was in charge of identifying and selecting relevant agents to join the trip and covered the whole invitation process. Further, Related’s senior trade executive hosted the trip and was the main contact person for the group whilst on tour.
At least one tour operator is now offering group tours to the Las Vegas marathon in two countries, whilst others promote the marathon as one of the many reasons to visit Las Vegas for individual travelers.
