Nanna and Hanna are now back after ten full days in South Dakota, where they attended International Roundup – The Great American West’s annual B2B workshop. Alongside tour operators and representatives from the seven international markets where The Great American West is active, they met with the four states we represent to align on strategies, plan for the new fiscal year, and get the latest updates.
It was a packed schedule – over 80 meetings in just a few days – but also a rare chance to sit down face-to-face, strengthen relationships and exchange ideas with partners from across the region.
Outside of the meeting rooms, there was time to truly experience South Dakota. From a visit to the iconic Mount Rushmore and inspiring strolls through Rapid City and Historic Deadwood, to bison watching in Custer State Park and scenic drives in the Black Hills – the days were filled with moments that brought the destination to life.
The host region, the Black Hills, offered dramatic landscapes, deep-rooted Native American culture, and that distinct Western charm. And while the agenda was intense, it was also inspiring – Hanna and Nanna are returning with fresh perspectives, stronger ties, and plenty of ideas for the year ahead.
A big thank you to Travel South Dakota, The Great American West, and all our partners for a memorable roundup. We’re already looking forward to next year!
