On March 10, 2025, we supported the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) in celebrating their one-year anniversary of the opening of the Nordic office in Stockholm with an exclusive industry event at United Spaces Waterfront. The event brought together around 100 participants from the travel industry, airlines, Japanese suppliers, embassies, and partners for an inspiring evening of networking, insightful seminars, and authentic Japanese culinary experiences.
Related’s own Travel Trade & Marketing Director, Jens Juliussen welcomed the participants and moderated the whole evening during the different sessions.
Inspiration and networking
The event was initiated with an engaging Japan seminar, where attendees gained valuable insights into the latest trends in Japanese tourism, hidden gems to discover, and updates on travel to Japan, which created a dynamic and informative start to the evening.
Flavors and traditions of Japan
After the seminar, guests were treated to a culinary experience like no other:
- Live Sushi – Professional Japanese sushi chefs prepared sushi on-site, giving guests an authentic glimpse into Japanese food culture.
- Wagashi Buffet – A wide selection of traditional Japanese sweets was offered, providing an opportunity to explore Japan’s rich dessert culture.
- Sake Corner – A special sake section presented a variety of Japan’s famous rice wines, so guests could taste different flavours and learn traditions associated with the drink.
Raffle and grand finale
As an exciting highlight of the evening, guests participated in a raffle, where exclusive Japan-themed prizes from the present suppliers were awarded. It was a fantastic way to end a night that blended inspiration, business opportunities, and Japanese hospitality.
On behalf of JNTO we want to extend a big thanks to all participants and partners who made this evening possible. We look forward to continuing to develop collaborations and inspiring even more travellers to discover Japan!
