On December 2nd, we unveiled an exciting new concept at this year’s Travel News Market in Stockholm – The Balcony by Related. The initiative aimed at giving our clients an elevated experience with mini-events, valuable insights, and networking with industry professionals in nice surroundings. A 100% satisfaction rate speaks volumes: Our clients loved it!
Our goal with The Balcony by Related was to provide a dedicated space for the 12 exhibitors we hosted, including destinations, hotels, and DMCs, to connect meaningfully with the fair guests. We wanted to help our clients expand and strengthen their networks in the best way possible. Many of our clients traveled long distances, so ensuring they achieved the best possible return-on-investment was absolutely crucial.
Spotlight on Travel Insights
A highlight of The Balcony was an 8-meter-long timeline showcasing key trends in Swedish travel behavior over the past decade, offering attendees a captivating overview of shifting preferences in the Nordic market. Visitors were also invited to participate in an interactive quiz with the chance to win a prize. Dennis Grauslund, Insights & Data Senior Executive at Related, also delivered an exclusive morning briefing for our exhibitors, providing valuable insights to enhance their engagement with Swedish trade professionals throughout the event.
A day to remember
The Balcony by Related stood out with its dynamic blend of activities and networking opportunities.
Guests enjoyed a VIP networking lunch featuring Turkish signature dishes, Belgian beer and chocolate pairings hosted by VisitFlanders, and complimentary Peruvian coffee served throughout the day. Snacks, refreshments, music, decorations and high-top tables created a relaxed and engaging atmosphere for meaningful conversations. The day concluded with an afterwork networking event, bringing together key trade professionals in a celebratory setting.

Judging from the feedback we received from exhibitors at The Balcony, we can safely call our new initiative a succes. So far, an impressive 100% expressed their intention to partner with Related again at Travel News Market 2025. Both the overall satisfaction score and the event’s professional impact received strong ratings, averaging 8.8 out of 10. Notably, the dedicated Related space earned a score of 9, highlighting the impact of the concept.
Needless to say, we’re hoping to repeat the success in 2025.
