As of 1 October, Related is the PR representative for the Tourism Authority of Thailand in the Nordic region, as well as the marketing representative in Finland. The purpose is to familiarize Nordic travelers with Thailand’s many opportunities – in addition to sun and beach.

“Related showed us their strategic thinking based on data and insights, which gave us confidence that we will have a really good PR strategy that will boost and create awareness of Thailand in the Nordic countries,” says Orn Doungchan, Director at the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s office in Stockholm.

Related has just started a collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) on PR activities in the Nordic region as well as marketing efforts in Finland.

Thus, Related will assist TAT with, among other things, press offices, press releases, press trips, influencer collaborations, campaigns and events. While the focus is on PR across the Nordics, the agency will also be involved in coordinating Thailand’s marketing efforts in the Finnish market, including fam trips, campaigns with travel agencies and trade shows.

The country is especially known for its beautiful beaches and warm winter temperatures, but Thailand is also a country rich in culture, history, nature and food experiences – from Michelin to street food.

– We are very happy that we will be PR and marketing representatives for Thailand, so we can help increase awareness of the country’s many different opportunities; whether you want to eat your way through Bangkok’s buzzing streets, hike in the beautiful nature or visit colorful temples, says Henrik Koch, CEO at Related.

Thailand has long been one of the Nordic travellers’ favourite destinations, and the agency’s studies show that there is a good correlation between what Nordic travellers demand and what Thailand offers in terms of travel experiences:

– Our data show that Thailand’s tourism product matches literally all the trends we see in the market these years; including sustainable travel experiences, local eateries, authentic cultural experiences, active holidays in nature and interaction with locals. There are a myriad of opportunities for all of this in Thailand. We look forward to making even more Nordic travellers aware of this, he explains.

At the Tourism Authority of Thailand office in Stockholm, Orn Doungchan, director at the Tourism Authority of Thailand Stockholm Office, is very pleased with the prospect of the collaboration with Related.

– In the process of finding the right agency for us, Related showed us their strategic thinking based on data and insights, which gave us confidence that we will get a really good strategy that will boost and create awareness of Thailand in the Nordic countries. At the same time, Related has an ideal composition of employees who, together with our skilled employees, will make up a really good team, she says.

– I look forward to continuing the work of unfolding Thailand’s potential in the Nordic market together with Related, she concludes.
