November 9th, one of the most anticipated travel events of the year – Travel News Market – took place in Stockholm. The fair brought together travel trade agents, industry experts, and destinations, DMCs and hotels from across the globe to discuss business opportunities.
Representing a diverse array of clients, we held meetings with the participating travel trade and media, forging new partnerships while strengthening existing ones. Further, we hosted a series tastings and presentations, showcasing some of the best cuisines at the destinations:
- Miami Breakfast Event
Our day began with a vibrant breakfast event on behalf of Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau. Media and attendees were treated to an update on the city’s numerous attractions and events to come in 2024. While being inspired on the Florida Metropole, we serve a cream cheese bagel, ginger shots, and smoothies – all in true Miami style.
2. Macao Quiz Event:
Following the Miami experience, we took a journey to Macao. Through an engaging quiz and enlightening insights, guests were introduced to the wonders and attractions of this bustling Asian city. A fusion of Portuguese and Chinese cultures, the taste of Macao was brought to Stockholm with delectable servings of Pastel de nata (Portuguese egg tart) and the local Macao drink – hot coke with ginger.
3. Geneva Wine Tasting:
The day continued with Geneva Tourism hosting a presentation followed by an exquisite wine tasting. Attendees indulged in four exclusive Swiss wines, a delightful way to rejuvenate the atmosphere after the lunch break.
4. Flanders’ Beer and Chocolate Pairing
Werner Callebaut, a Flemish beer expert, joined us on behalf of Visit Flanders, giving a fascinating session on the art of combining beer and chocolate. Homemade pralines were expertly paired with a selection of Belgian beers, offering insights into the intricate harmony between these two indulgent treats.
5. Southern USA Moonshine Tasting
Wrapping up the day, Travel South USA presented an intriguing overview of the 12 Southern states, culminating in a Moonshine tasting. As a delightful surprise, a skilled bartender crafted a Moonshine Mule.
