With three major events within one week, the second week of January is one of the most intense in the Norwegian travel industry. During four consecutive days, the travel industry – and our Related team – were kept busy.
The first major event was Travel Match, the leading Norwegian B2B workshop for the travel industry. Related was present at the event for our destination clients Japan, Estonia, Ras Al Khaimah, Flanders and the Philippines. Here we met with tour operators, travel agencies, media and influencers to talk about the latest news from the destinations and discuss possibilities for partnerships and collaborations.
After the event, some of the team members continued to the yearly Grand Travel Awards where the Norwegian travel industry was celebrated. At the event, the whole industry was finally reunited again after more than two years difficult years. On behalf of our clients VisitFlanders and Visit Estonia, we had invited key partners to attend the event together with us – a gesture that was much appreciated and that further strengthened the relationships between our clients and the Norwegian travel trade.
The third event that took place this week was the consumer show TravelXpo/Explore the World. Our client, Philippines Department of Tourism, had booked a large stand at the show to show why it is still more fun in the Philippines. Related’s senior trade executive, Hanna, assisted our client and attended the show all weekend. The outcome was good, and many potential travellers showed interest in the destination.
