Gearing up for 2021

Gearing up for 2021

After a turbulent 2020 which especially brought challenges for our travel and tourism clients, we are now looking forward to 2021, which we expect will bring a lot of exciting new projects. So we’ve made a few internal adjustments to be able to meet the new year with open arms.

After a 2020 which didn’t turn out quite as we expected – to put it lightly – we can now finally start planning ahead for 2021. With a vaccine on its way, we hope that 2021 will be the year where we can leave the corona crisis behind us – and where people can slowly start exploring the world and its many beautiful destinations again as well as attend events, fairs etc. as usual.

Although it has been a challenging year, we are happy to finally see a glimpse of light at the end of the tunnel. We have managed to come through the crisis strong and with both a lot of experience, learnings and fresh ideas.

With closed borders and changing restrictions, we’ve had to find new ways to create awareness around the many destinations we represent around the world – in which we believe we’ve succeeded.

In the representation of our tech and lifestyle clients, the pandemic has created even more bustle and busyness than usual, particularly concerning gaming gear, video- and audio equipment. Afterall the crisis has sped up the digital processes and remote working tendencies significantly in the Nordics, and we’ve managed to keep up with this change along with our clients.

The lockdown also gave us the opportunity to speed up the development of our brand-new market intelligence tool Travellyze, which you can read more about here.

Adjusted team structure
To prepare for a 2021, which we expect to bring a lot of exciting projects and tasks for both existing and new clients, we’ve also spent the past months adjusting internal processes and  reorganizing the internal team structure at Related.

Therefore, our colleagues Christina Holm Hansen and Helle Jakobsen will be promoted to PR, Social and Content Directors for Travel and Lifestyle, respectively, from January 1st 2021.

This means that, on top of continuing to manage their current clients, they will be responsible for the strategic development of Related’s competencies and offerings within the disciplines PR, influencer marketing, social media and content creation for all Related’s clients; in Christina’s case the travel and tourism clients, and in Helle’s case the tech and lifestyle clients. Their new role also includes an active focus on trends and tendencies as well as ensuring a continuously high quality on all projects, no matter size of the client and task.

Helle and Christina will also be in charge of working further on implementing and maintaining synergies between our lifestyle and travel clients – ensuring that we constantly exploit the possible advantages of combining these two divisions for the benefit of our clients.

Christina has been part of Related since January 2014 and has since then been involved in and in charge of numerous PR, branding and communication projects for especially our travel and tourism clients from around the world.

Helle joined the Related team as Senior Executive in 2019 and has put her extensive experience with strategic development, press handling and project management to good use on behalf of Related’s lifestyle and tech clients.
