On the 24th of October 2019 we held TechBrief for the 7th year in a row, and like the last four years it took place at the heart of Arlanda Airport in Stockholm.
The 1-day event featured a strong line-up of 10 international consumer tech brands, counting both returning brands like Kingston Technologies, SteelSeries, LIFX and others – and newcomers like Doro and Lightwave.
They all presented their newest products and gave face-to-face demonstrations to the 34 journalists that were represented from Nordic tech and lifestyle media. Like the brands, many of the media were TechBrief veterans who have participated time and again. We like to think it’s because TechBrief is value for time; cascades of brand news concentrated in one single day!
The day started with presentations from each brand – the so-called “brief” – where editors were updated on new products and technologies from participating brands. So, excitement was great when the doors after lunch opened to the product exhibition and the editors finally got their hands on the products which the brand representatives had been teasing about all morning.
At the exhibition, the journalists got to try the newest gaming peripherals such as headsets and mice, have a close look at new speakers, microphones and soundcards, explore the newest products within networking technologies, how intelligent light can throw thousands of colors around the room – and much more.
At TechBrief, seeds were planted for interesting news articles and reviews this fall – so keep an eye on the participating media’s news feeds the upcoming weeks and months – we sure will do too.
