Mid-April, Hanna was on tour promoting our client The Beaches of Fort Myers and Sanibel.
Together with representatives from Visit Tampa Bay and Greater Fort Lauderdale a sales mission with evening events across Scandinavia was carried out. Three joint events were organized in respectively Stockholm, Aarhus and Oslo, where Hanna had the opportunity to present The Beaches of Fort Myers and Sanibel – a must-visit-destination in Southwest Florida – to the attending travel agents.
At the events in Stockholm and Aarhus the guests were welcomed with a drink and small snacks where after each destination had about 10-15 min to present itself. Hereafter a delicious dinner was served, which gave Hanna and the other partners further possibilities to discuss their destinations with the attendees. The events were all rounded off with a Florida Quiz giving the winner six nights in Florida (two at each destination). In Stockholm and Oslo, the winner furthermore received a gift voucher of respectively 10,000 SEK and 10,000 NOK from airline partner Icelandair that supported the events. Having Icelandair as partner was a natural choice, as the airline flies to two Florida destinations: Tampa and Orlando.
As the grand finale of the sales mission the last evening event, which was held in Oslo, was carried out as a cookery event. With the purpose to give the invited agents a different and fun experience, and at the same time get to know each other better, Hanna and the other organizers cooked a three-course meal together with attendees. Everyone seemed to enjoy the Florida themed evening.
Hanna also managed to set aside time in the tight schedule to host a sales training for employees from Swanson’s Travel in Osby in Southern Sweden. Together with the other destination representatives she also held a sales training with lunch for the sales staff of MyPlanet Denmark. Furthermore, she hosted a media lunch for Norwegian travel journalists at the charming restaurant Louise at Akkers Brygge in Oslo where she was met with great interest telling about The Beaches of Fort Myers and Sanibel.
It was a tough and busy yet good and inspiring tour where Hanna overall met with more than 80 agents at the different events.
