Geneva is with its historical, culinary and cultural treasures, beautiful lakes and surrounding nature an ideal city break destination. To make Nordic travelers aware of this, Christina hosted a press trip for a group of Nordic journalists in ultimo March.
The program included several culinary experiences such as cheese fondue, wine tasting and chocolate workshop. Moreover, the journalists got to experience the beautiful landscape of Geneva – on a bike trip along the wine yards, on a boat trip on Western Europe’s largest lake and from the mountain Mount Saléve, which is found only 45 minutes from the city and can be reached by cable car.
As for cultural experiences the trip amongst other things included a tour of the small galleries in the Quartier des Bains and a visit to the 18th century Italian styled neighborhood, Carouge – also known as “Little Greenwich of Geneva”. The charming village in the city is known for its numerous craftsmen, designers and secret gardens.
After the 3-days trip, the journalists travelled back to respectively Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland – filled with inspiration for coming travel articles about the city break possibilities in Geneva.
