September/October is high season for roadshows and workshops in the Scandinavian market, and this year is no exception. With five workshops in Sweden and Norway within 7 days, our trade executive Hanna Johansson spent almost two weeks out of office promoting Las Vegas and its many attractions at events organized by Discover America.
The workshop marathon started out in Malmö, Sweden, where close to 75 agents came to learn more about different destinations across the US, the major carriers, and car rental suppliers. The event was a great success, and after a workshop combined with presentations, a US style buffet dinner was served.
A few days later, Hanna travelled to Oslo for a four-cities’ roadshow with Discover America’s Norwegian chapter. A total of 70 agents attended the workshops in the four Norwegian cities Oslo, Trondheim, Bergen, and Stavanger, and a lot of knowledge and inspiration for a trip to Las Vegas were shared.
“Participating in these roadshows is an efficient way for us to meet with agents in other cities than the capitals, where most meetings take place”, Hanna states and continues:
“I am confident that the participation at the events have not only increased the awareness and knowledge of Las Vegas, but will result in more travelers coming to Las Vegas, and an increased average length of stay”.
