Las Vegas – the Entertainment capital of the World

Las Vegas – the Entertainment capital of the World

Every year in September, our client Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) invites its overseas offices to an International Summit in Las Vegas. This year Hanna – who is responsible for all trade related activities and events – and Helene – who is responsible for all PR related activations in Scandinavia – both attended the event for the second time since we started representing Las Vegas.

The Summit is a great occasion to meet staff from all over the world, to share best practices, as well as to spend some time with our key contacts at the head office of LVCVA and meeting partners at the destination that we work with on a regular basis: hotels and resorts, restaurants, attractions and partners within entertainment.

This year we were sent on a 6 hour scavenger hunt – working in teams – to find 20 clues around the destination. For each clue, we had to work out a correct answer, go there, take a photograph and upload it on Twitter. As an example the clue was: ‘Hell On Earth: What celebrity chef will open his fifth restaurant in Las Vegas this winter? Take a picture in front of his eatery that is under construction.” Do you know the answer? Gordon Ramsay and Hell’s Kitchen of course!

Hanna and Helene returned to the office full of new impressions and ideas for the year to come, and after some much needed sleep over the weekend they are already looking forward to seeing what LVCVA has in store for next year’s summit.
