With the aim of inspiring Nordic tour operators and travel agencies and informing them about the Maldives as a holiday destination, Related coordinated an exotic roadshow in four Nordic capitals in February 2015 on behalf of Visit Maldives.

The roadshow took place at breathtaking locations including the National Aquarium Denmark in Copenhagen and The Butterfly House at a botanical garden in Stockholm. In Oslo, the guests were invited to Grand Hotel Oslo, while a sand covered floor of an indoor beach volleyball hall created the perfect exotic and “beachy” feeling in Helsinki.

The roadshow program differed in each city. In Helsinki, the participating agents could dream themselves away to the white and sandy beaches while mingling around barefooted in flip-flops, and in Copenhagen several participants experienced a guided tour in the National Aquarium Denmark in honor of the occasion focusing on the Maldivian underwater life. Around 50 participants attended in each capital to meet with Visit Maldives and the represented Maldivian DMC’s and hotels. The possibilities of Maldives as a travel destination was presented at each event and finally exhibitors and participants got the chance to discuss products as well as possibilities of cooperation together.
