Blue skies, a lot of sunshine and a calm breeze sat the scenery for an evening as relaxing as the beaches of Fort Myers in Southwest Florida, as Related invited travel trade and media to an event in Stockholm this May.
The event was initiated with the aim to update the Swedish travel media and travel trade on Fort Myers as an destination, and to inspire the attendees to focus on Fort Myers in their different channels of communication.
The “venue” of the day was the 125 years’ old sailing ship S/Y Ellen. Onboard, the guests were greeted with a tasty seafood appetizer. With only little wind in the sails, we left the harbour to experience Stockholm from a new angle. On the way back, a presentation about Fort Myers was given below deck, and the guests enjoyed the rest of the meal before the ship returned to the port.
All guests received additional materials about Fort Myers – Islands, Beaches and Neighborhoods, before leaving the ship.
The scenery and the calm sea were a great match with the destination as quality time and “vacation at your own pace” are some of the USP’s we’ve chosen to highlight when promoting Fort Myers.
