In late 2019, Related organized and hosted a small group press trip to The Beaches of Fort Myers and Sanibel for 3 journalists in total – in partnership with Norwegian Airlines.
On the trip, the journalists got to experience the destination’s many possibilities for active holiday for all ages. For example, they went on a boat trip to spot wild dolphins and paddled kayak in the mangroves and met a playful manatee. Further they biked around Sanibel and got to enjoy the peach-colored sunset over the Mexican golf from Captiva – and got to experience why the destination is one of the world’s best places to find beautiful seashells. All of this combined with a lot of great food experiences, often focused on fresh fish and seafood.
The journalists were all very positive about the destination which they didn’t know much about beforehand and trip resulted in a total of 6 articles in different media in Denmark and Norway with a circulation exceeding 500,000.
