Pan-Nordic partnership brings travel agents on the horseback

In our role as Nordic representatives for the five-state coalition The Great American West, we take great pride in cultivating and maintaining relationships with the Nordic travel industry. As a result of that, we partnered with Icelandair and bedbank Webbeds to invite Nordic travel agents on a fam trip with focus on the great outdoors and the Western experiences that The Great American West has to offer.

Both external partners supported the fam trip with FOC services and covered all flights and all hotel nights for the entire group. A group of 12 travelers including our own trade executive, went on a weeklong road trip from Minneapolis to Denver via Sioux Falls, Black Hills, and Eastern Wyoming.

During the trip, the agents did not only see and learn more about Western legends and iconic sites, such as Mount Rushmore and Devils Tower, but also had the opportunity to visit lesser-known areas within The Great American West including a dip into the hot springs of Saratoga. The group left The Great American West in style with their own individual cowboy hat from The Wrangler in Cheyenne, and as experienced horseback riders after having visited two ranches and tried the Western-style horseback riding.

As a result of the fam trip, several travel agencies/tour operators have added the region to their portfolio and promoted the new packages through a variety of channels. Further, Webbeds have added new properties in the area to their portfolio and Icelandair had the opportunity to promote their many services on and off board.

The fam trip has further strengthened our bonds to the partners that made this trip possible.
