Muay Thai, also known as “Thai boxing,” is more than just a sport in Thailand – it’s an important part of the country’s culture and history with roots dating back thousands of years. On behalf of our client, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, we partnered with Norwegian influencer Katarina Sollid, who traveled to Krabi, Bangkok, and Ayutthaya for an authentic Muay Thai experience. Through training, attending a match, and participating in the Wai Kru ritual, Katarina shared her journey with her followers – highlighting Thailand’s rich traditions, stunning beaches, and delicious cuisine.

Muay Thai, often referred to as “The Art of Eight Limbs,” is a traditional martial art and sport that has been practiced in Thailand for centuries. Known for its powerful strikes and deep cultural roots, Muay Thai is not only a physical challenge but also a reflection of Thailand’s heritage and values. It is a significant part of Thai culture and has earned its place as a national symbol, celebrated and respected throughout the country.

 

As part of our ongoing efforts to promote Thailand as a top travel destination, we collaborated with Norwegian influencer Katarina Sollid. Katarina visited Krabi, Bangkok, and Ayutthaya to immerse herself in the true essence of Muay Thai. Her trip allowed her to experience the sport from a local perspective, including intense training sessions, attending a professional Muay Thai match, and partaking in the Wai Kru ritual, a crucial tradition for every Muay Thai enthusiast. She also spent time relaxing on the stunning beaches of Thailand and enjoying its delicious cuisine, which added a perfect balance of both adventure and relaxation to her visit.

 

Along the trip, Katarina shared her experiences with her followers. The content generated impressive results, with an approximate reach of 450,000 and over 516,000 impressions. In total, the engagement from her audience reached 9,400.

 

This collaboration was not only successful in terms of reach and engagement but also in highlighting Thailand’s authentic cultural experiences. Katarina’s enthusiasm for Muay Thai and her genuine connection with her audience helped promote Thailand as a must-visit destination for those seeking an immersive, cultural adventure.
