To celebrate the launch of IndiGo’s new direct route between Mumbai and Copenhagen and introduce the route to the Danish and Swedish press, Related invited Danish and Swedish editors, journalists and key opinion leaders to a launch event in Copenhagen – on the day of the inauguration flight from Mumbai.

At the event, journalists got the chance to learn more about India’s largest airline, its extensive network, and the benefits of the new Copenhagen–Mumbai connection. IndiGo now flies to 44 international destinations, with Copenhagen as its fourth European stop after Istanbul, Manchester, and Amsterdam. The flights are operated on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, offering both Economy Class and IndiGoStretch, the airline’s premium concept.

Present at the event was IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers, who engaged with the media. His remarks were captured in outlets such as aviaton outlet CPHSpotlight: Interview med Pieter Elbers, CEO for IndiGo Airlines – CphSpotlight.dk

The milestone route, operating three times a week, marks IndiGo’s entry into the Scandinavian market and opens up exciting travel opportunities for both business and leisure travelers.

The new route strengthens connections between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai and Copenhagen Airport, facilitating trade, tourism, and cultural exchange. Scandinavian travelers can now access over 90 destinations across India with ease, while Indian travelers gain straightforward connections to the Nordic region.

The event resulted in 8 social media posts and 33 articles across Danish and Swedish travel outlets, reaching a broad Nordic audience and reinforcing IndiGo’s brand positioning as a reliable and fast-growing global airline.
