Media breakfast events about Grindelwald and Jungfrau Railways
Travel

In the beginning of 2020, Related coordinated three media breakfasts on behalf of our new clients Jungfrau Railways & Grindelwald Tourism – to introduce media in Sweden, Denmark and Norway to the charming alp village of Grindelwald and the new V-Cableway project by Jungfrau Railways which will make it even more attractive to go skiing in Grindelwald from December 2020 onwards.

The village of Grindelwald is located by the foot of the mountain Eiger and Wetterhorn and is the largest ski resort in the Jungfrau region. It has been visited by tourists since the end of the 19th century, but it was not until the train station at Jungfraujoch (also known as the “Top of Europe”) was established in 1912 that Grindelwald became really popular. The Grindelwald area has in total 160 km of slopes – among them are Lauberhorn, which hosts the World Cup in alpine skiing every year. There are also 300 km of scenic hiking trails, of which 80 km is open during winter too.

The events were kept “short and sweet” and held in the morning and the journalists, editors and influencers attending could enjoy a delicious breakfast while getting a presentation about the destination as well as Jungfrau Railways’ rail network and new cableways – before getting off for their normal workday.

The events were a great kick-start for Jungfrau Railways & Grindelwald Tourism in the market, to increase awareness and knowledge of the product among travel media, freelancers and influences – while also getting to know what Nordic media values and finds most interesting at the destination.

The media events in the Scandinavian capitals will be followed up with a range of press visits in Grindelwald later in 2020 – for the interested journalists, media and influencers to experience the destination first-hand.
