To raise awareness of Sharjah as a travel destination among Nordic media, travel trade and consumers, Related assisted with participation at the MATKA travel fair in Helsinki.
To raise awareness of Sharjah – one of the seven United Arab Emirates – as a travel destination among Nordic media, travel trade and consumers, Related assisted Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority with participation at the MATKA travel fair in Helsinki.
In advance of the fair, Related distributed a press release to Nordic consumer and trade media to increase awareness of the destination and its offerings. Further, Related coordinated meetings with travel trade partners and media to take place during MATKA.
During the fair, a dedicated Related representative were present at all the meetings together with Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority. One of the highlights during the fair was a lunch event for invited media and influencers where Related had been responsible for the coordination, invitation and follow up with Finnish media and influencers. Related also ensured that everything was captured on video and photos by hiring and briefing a photographer for the event.
After the fair, the team from Sharjah returned home with a lot of new relevant contacts and leads from the Nordic market. As a result of the positive interest at the MATKA fair, Sharjah engaged with Related for more activities in the Nordic market targeting both media, trade and consumers.
