As Nordic representative for Dubai Tourism, we recently hosted a small group of Nordic gastro journalists on a press trip to Dubai.


Dubai endlessly pursues world records within luxury dining and Michelin restaurants, but beyond that, Dubai is also home to a colourful and diverse culinary scene with food from all over the world – and an endless array of small food stalls and street food to be explored.

To make Nordic travellers aware of this side of Dubai, we arranged a press trip for 3 Nordic journalists all writing for tier 1 food magazines. The focus of the press visit was on the culinary side of Dubai.

The media explored both food markets, street food, local restaurants, and the spice souk as well as international dining concepts and rooftop restaurants. The itinerary also included a visit at the creative space Alserkal Avenue and at Expo 2020 Dubai, which also held several interesting food experiences.

As the grand finale, the group went on a private dining experience in the middle of the desert, where they enjoyed a homecooked meal underneath the stars.

The coverage from the press trip resulted in a total reach of 229,000 and an advertorial value of more than 37,000 EUR.
